I partnered with Bristle, a Y Combinator–backed health tech startup offering at-home oral microbiome testing, as the lead designer to redesign their results report and translate complex microbiome data into a clear, actionable plan users could actually follow.
Role
Lead Product Designer

Problem
After completing an at-home saliva test, users receive their oral microbiome results alongside personalized recommendations designed to help them take action. The recommendations experience suffered from poor placement, weak visual hierarchy, and an inconsistent UI that failed to match the credibility of the underlying science. This undermined trust and reducing the likelihood that users would take action.
Solution
The solution centered on restructuring the recommendations experience: improving placement within the results flow, introducing visual hierarchy and grouping, and providing just-enough scientific context to help users understand not just what to do, but why.
